Wellness Wednesdays

A weekly space for LGBTQ+ adults to find community, share experiences, and get support from people who get it. Led by BCPC staff with educational resources, this group is about connection and mutual aid—not intensive therapy. Registration required at least an hour before the meeting.

An LGBTQIA+ centered SMART Recovery meeting that uses evidence-based methods like REBT and CBT for self-empowered addiction recovery. The 4-Point Program guides discussions on building motivation, coping with urges, managing thoughts and behaviors, and achieving balance. Free and open to anyone struggling with substance use or other addictive behaviors — no registration required, just show up.

Monday night pickup basketball for LGBTQ+ players and allies of all skill levels at the Brooklyn Community Pride Center. No tryouts, no drama — just show up ready to play, get a workout in, and connect with community on the court. All skill levels welcome; just bring sneakers and energy.

Learn Pencak Silat—a Southeast Asian martial art—in a space built for queer bodies and all skill levels. This inclusive class weaves together self-defense, breathwork, mindfulness, and dance, led by student instructors Ilana and Steph. Whether you're looking to build confidence, find community, or discover a practice that actually feels good in your body, this is it.

Drop-in mental health sessions designed for immediate support — whether you're navigating a tough day, processing current events, or just need to talk to someone who gets it. Sessions run up to 30 minutes and can be in-person or virtual. Registration required; the center can also connect you with longer-term resources if you need them.

Free HIV/STI testing every Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm at the Brooklyn Community Pride Center, brought to you by Project STAY. No ID, no insurance, no problem — just show up and take care of yourself. Recurring weekly.
