Musical Wednesdays

The Castro's Friday happy hour for bearded folks and the people who love them at The Edge. VJ Joel spins music videos by request while you enjoy 2-for-1 drinks from 5-7pm (plus drink tokens usable anytime). Rotating weekly specials keep it fresh — beard oil rub-downs, t-shirt exchanges, best beard contests, and more. A low-key, inclusive kickoff to the weekend that keeps this neighborhood hangout packed with friends old and new.

Sunday nights at The Edge belong to the showtunes crowd. VJ Derek Thomas hosts a raunchy, irreverent celebration of musical theater — funny, sexy video clips from the Broadway canon, dirty trivia and dares for free drinks, and 2-for-1 specials all night. It's piano-bar energy meets video-bar fun, with a room full of people who know every lyric. A beloved Castro institution that makes you want to stick around past dinner.

Start your week at The Edge in the Castro with live showtunes and piano bar energy. Musical Mondays brings Broadway magic to San Francisco through a partnership with BroadwaySF — expect cast members from touring and local productions (past guests include performers from Book of Mormon, Les Misérables, and Lion King, plus American Idol finalist LaToya London), alongside local talent and special guests. Sing along to the classics with a room full of people who know every word, and enjoy 2-for-1 cocktails and chips all night starting at 7pm with no cover charge. It's the kind of Monday night that actually makes you want to show up.

Every Tuesday, The Edge becomes ground zero for The Boulet Brothers' drag horror extravaganza. Hosts Nitrix Oxide and Lola Lewd take you through the floorshows, eliminations, and all the filth and glamour DRAGula delivers, with live performances from the hosts and rotating special guests after each episode. Gather with fellow fans for strong drinks, chaotic commentary, and a weekly ritual that keeps you coming back.

The Castro's longest-running drag show, held weekly at The Edge. Expect rotating weekly themes, theatrical performances, creative costumes, and camp-fueled drag energy that keeps this Thursday night institution fresh and unpredictable. Follow The Edge on Facebook for each week's theme.
