Name: Membership Committee Meeting
Start: 2026-10-15T15:00:00-04:00
Location: Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber

Tampa and St. Pete have built something real over the years — a queer community that's rooted in the neighborhoods, not just concentrated in one flashy district. The vibe here is less about proving something and more about showing up for each other, whether that's at a Pride festival that actually feels like a neighborhood gathering or a random Tuesday night where you run into half your friend group at the same bar.

The scene splits itself naturally across the two cities: St. Pete leans into a more laid-back, artsy queer culture with venues that feel like actual gathering spots rather than just places to drink, while Tampa's got the energy and the bigger dance floors if that's what you're after. What ties it together is that people actually know each other here — bartenders remember your name, drag performers have been working the same stages for years, and there's a real sense that the community takes care of its own.
