Wanda Alston Foundation

The Wanda Alston Foundation is a DC-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth through housing, counseling, research, and workforce development services. Founded in 2008 in honor of community activist Wanda Alston, the organization provides permanent housing solutions and pathways out of homelessness for at-risk and vulnerable queer and trans young people. The foundation operates as a community gathering space centered on liberation, accountability, and the resilience of LGBTQ+ people of color.
