LGBTQ+ Parents & Caregivers Circle Up

A facilitated roundtable bringing together community leaders, organizers, advocates, and elected officials to imagine and build a Boston where trans and gender-expansive people—especially Black, Brown, immigrant, and low-income community members—genuinely thrive. This Kuumba Conversation centers collective vision and action, exploring what solidarity looks like across grassroots movements, institutions, and government, with real opportunities for attendees to contribute ideas and shape collaborative efforts.

TQNC takes over a community resource table at Open Streets Mattapan, the city's car-free celebration of Blue Hill Ave. Stop by to connect with queer neighbors, pick up community resources, and enjoy a day of live music, local vendors, wellness activities, and street performances. It's a chance to exist as your whole self while the neighborhood comes together.

Spectacle Island becomes queer and trans community space for the day—beach relaxing, trail hiking, a community picnic, and touch tank demonstrations. Pack a lunch, bring a friend, and spend five hours celebrating in one of the city's most beautiful outdoor spots. Organized by TQNC and OUTnewcomers.

A circle gathering for LGBTQ+ organizational leaders to tackle real challenges facing their communities. You'll sit in circle, pass a talking piece, and work collaboratively on strategy—grounded in radical foundations that help smaller organizations and activists sustain their impact. There's also a community altar for remembrance and collective healing. Two formats available: virtual (September 10th, 6-7:30pm) or in-person lunch circle (September 17th, 1-3:30pm).

An informative session breaking down mental health topics and resources specifically for queer folks. This virtual event cuts through the confusion and stigma to have real conversations about what mental health support actually looks like in our community.

TQNC's monthly sewing skillshare brings together people of all skill levels in a space centered on LGBTQIA+ voices and experiences. Whether you're a seasoned seamstress or have never touched a sewing machine, you'll get a brief tutorial, access to basic machines and supplies, guidance from experienced sewing guides, and plenty of time to work on your own projects—or just learn something new. Bring a piece you've been meaning to alter, that elaborate Halloween costume, or just yourself and your curiosity.
