Life is a Queer Cabaret!

Six Chicago cartoonists bring their work to life with live readings that blur the line between page and performance. Expect a range of styles and voices—from political satire to intimate storytelling—all rooted in queer experience and the everyday magic these artists find in their communities. Doors at 6pm, readings at 7pm. $12 in advance, $17 at the door.

Free cover night bringing fresh DJs to Dorothy's dancefloor. Mya opens with ballroom, house, and lesbian hits, then Truly Unhinged takes over with soulful house, throwback hip-hop, and R&B. Two Chicago-based selectors you haven't heard spin here before—doors at 6pm, dancing starts at 9pm, and the bar stays open until 2am.

A night dedicated entirely to Hayley Williams—her solo work, Paramore deep cuts, guest features, and everything in between. Led by Dorothy's Creative Director Whitney LaMora, you'll sing along from 9pm to midnight while supporting We Rock Chicago, an organization empowering girls, trans, and gender expansive youth through music. A $10 cover at the door (starting 8:30pm) goes directly toward their work building community rooted in social justice.

A vibey, nostalgic sketch comedy show that feels like Sesame Street for adults—colorful characters, everyday chaos, and the kind of found-family energy that actually lands. This debut performance follows Faz as she battles her phone addiction with help from friends including special guests Chad the Bird and HAKI. Doors at 6pm, show at 7pm. $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

Chicago's Best Hip-Hop DJ since 2021 takes over Dorothy for a monthly residency. Ca$h Era brings a masterful open-format mixing style that's captivated everyone from the Chicago Bulls to festival crowds. Her 9pm-1am set is the kind of night that reminds you why Dorothy's underground vibe is the place to be — intimate, sexy, and packed with people who actually know how to dance.

E Leverton's debut party is a gothic, dark wave affair for sapphics to gather, surrender to confession, and dance until dawn. Dress code is imperative — rubber, latex, leather, and lace — and photography is off-limits. GoGos and DJ Patrixia spin from 10pm to 2am. $15 cover, doors at 8pm.
