Nerd Bear Trivia Wednesdays

A peer-led space for non-binary folks to connect, share experiences, and find community. Whether you're exploring your identity, navigating transition, or just looking to be around people who get it, this is a judgment-free zone where you can show up as yourself.

Fast-paced stand-up meets interactive chaos — Mary Kelly and Sharron Palm host a night that feels like a pride parade exploded into a comedy show. Expect drag, popstar trivia, audience games, and a rotating lineup of LGBTQ+ comics who actually know how to work a room. Back for its third year and fresh off an Edinburgh Fringe run, this is the kind of show that reminds you why queer comedy hits different.

When life breaks, imagination hits back. Olivia was supposed to be a pro soccer player. Instead, she's stuck on the couch, watching the windows across the street and turning strangers into stories. Funny, queer, and emotionally unfiltered, WINDOWS is a wildly inventive new play about identity, ambition, care, and what it takes to imagine a future when the one you trained for is gone. Winner of the Queery New Works Festival. Running time: 100 minutes, no intermission.

Thursday nights at Hydrate belong to Club Flamingo, Chicago's alt-night for everyone who lives for New Wave, post-punk, synth-pop, and dark wave. Rotating DJs spin a mix of 80s dance, 90s alternative, indie dance, and underground classics—the kind of night where the dance floor gets genuinely weird and wonderful. Hosted by Big John.

Thursday nights at Cell Block mean the backroom opens at 9 p.m. right after Windy City Jacks wraps up — a reliably packed evening in Boystown's most unapologetically kinky space. No dress code, 21+ with valid ID, and a crowd that knows how to have a good time.

Sidetrack's weekly Thursday night party takes over the Main, Cherry, and North Bars with high-energy Latin beats, DJ-driven dance floors, and a crowd that knows how to move. Expect a packed dance floor, strong drinks, and great vibes — the go-to Thursday escape for anyone who wants to dance to Latin rhythms without the pretense. Occasional themed editions swap in pop music videos and special guest hosts.
