LGBTQ+ Writers' Group

Free

Open Art Studio is a free, drop-in creative hour at The Center on Colfax in Denver, where you can paint, sketch or just play with materials at your own pace. Pull up a chair on a Thursday morning, no experience or sign-up needed, and make something with a room full of people who want to create too. It runs from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, run by the West of 50 program, so bring yourself and your imagination and leave the rest at home.

Community Center

Rainbow Alley is the weekly drop-in at The Center on Colfax in Denver where LGBTQ+ youth ages 10-17 and their allies come to hang out, make friends and find their people. Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, you'll get activities, community building and resources in a warm, easygoing room. New here? Come to the first drop-in of the month for a welcome meeting and an icebreaker activity. Want a look around first? Vincent can set up a tour outside drop-in hours.

Community Focused

Queer Conversation is the longest-running group at Queer Asterisk, and it's now online every Thursday, so you can join from anywhere, including outside Colorado. It runs 5:30-7pm MT (7:30-9pm Eastern), and it's open to the public. Donations are welcome but never required. Email mckenna@queerasterisk.com for the link and details.

Community Center

Soul Enlightenment Circle is a peer support group in Denver for LGBTQ+ people working through religious trauma, meeting at The Center on Colfax on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. You'll explore your own relationship with religion alongside others who've been there too, in a space built for honest, unhurried conversation. It's 18+ and also runs virtually over Zoom, and questions can go to Jaylin Goodloe at jgoodloe@lgbtqcolorado.org.

Trans

The In Person Trans Femme Support Group is a free, peer-led, confidential drop-in space for trans women, trans feminine people, and MtF individuals who were assigned male at birth, held at The Center on Colfax in Denver. Come for peer-run social support, real conversation, and useful resources, with no signup needed and walk-ins welcome. It runs 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2026, so you can stop by whenever suits you within that window.

Trans

A free, online, peer-led support group for trans women, trans feminine people, and MtF folks assigned male at birth, meeting Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM on Zoom. You'll get confidential peer support, real conversation with people who get it, and resources, all from the comfort of home. Register in advance through the Zoom link on the event page.
