Body Talk is a spiritual, creative somatic workshop for and by Black queer and trans folk. These sessions ground us in collective healing through poetic approaches to somatic practice—creativity, mindfulness, movement, and more. Free with a sliding scale suggested donation ($10–$15); no one turned away for lack of funds. RSVP required.

A welcoming space for new and seasoned TTRPG players to gather for one-shots — no prep, no ongoing commitment, just a fun evening rolling dice with people who get it. Each month brings different indie and small-press games to the table, so there's always something fresh to try. Come solo or bring friends; the whole point is finding your people and maybe discovering your next favorite game.

Trans

TGNC Swim Night is the monthly swim night at the Brooklyn Pride Center in Crown Heights, built for trans and gender non-conforming folks to connect and swim as their authentic selves. Start with a social hour from 7 to 8pm inside the center, then head upstairs to the pool from 8 to 9pm, with the pool closed to public visitors for the night. All gender changing rooms are available, and you can wear whatever swimwear feels best to you. RSVP is required to keep capacity and comfort right.

Mental Health Services

LGBTQ+ Mental Health Support Group is a free-to-join online group for adults 18 and up who identify as LGBTQ+, meeting on Zoom to talk through the demands of daily life. Share your experiences, hear from others who've faced similar challenges, and pick up advice and educational resources led by BCPC staff. It runs 6-8pm, and registration in advance is required at least an hour before the meeting.

Recovery

SMART Recovery is an in-person, LGBTQIA+ centered meeting for anyone working on addiction recovery or other addictive behaviors, using evidence-based REBT and CBT methods. Guided by the 4-Point Program, you'll talk through building motivation, coping with urges, managing thoughts and behaviors, and living a more balanced life. It's free, open to anyone, and there's no registration needed, so just show up at the Brooklyn Pride Center in Crown Heights. Sessions run 6:30 to 8:00 PM.

Community Resources

Basketball Open Gym is a weekly pickup night at the Brooklyn Community Pride Center in Crown Heights, open to lesbians, queer, trans, and nonbinary folks who want to shoot around and build community on and off the court. There's no scorekeeping, just fun games and good company. Registration is required and space is capped at 25 people per night, so RSVP ahead, though newcomers are welcome to drop in without one.
