Hive Mind's free Queer Writing Nights are expanding for the summer — bring a project, a prompt, or just the intention to show up and write alongside people who get it. Coffee's hot, the community's welcoming, and the accountability is real.

A poetry reading and open mic that lifts up marginalized voices while raising funds for Bushwick City Farms. This is the kind of night where the room gets quiet when someone reads something true, and you leave thinking about what you heard. Come share your own work, listen to poets who get it, and support a community garden doing real work in the neighborhood.

Thursday mornings at Hive Mind are for writers who actually show up. Bring your laptop, your draft, your half-finished idea — whatever stage you're in. You'll have a quiet corner, good coffee, and a room full of queer and trans writers doing the same thing. No pressure to perform or network; just the steady hum of people working on their stuff, with the option to grab coffee or chat if the mood strikes.
