Dance Party

Cubcake is one of the Lone Star Saloon's signature nights, a playful, bear-friendly party where the room fills up with the community's most loyal regulars and first-timers alike. Expect the historic bar's warm, welcoming energy, a crowd that knows how to have a good time, and the kind of easy camaraderie that makes San Francisco's bear scene so special.

Dance Party

Emo Night at Lone Star Saloon is a wonderfully specific kind of queer dance party: a room full of people singing every word of the songs they grew up with, a packed floor, and a bear-bar crowd that knows how to let loose on a Saturday. The night runs from 7:00 PM, and it has the cozy, unpretentious energy this historic SOMA spot is known for.

Social Events

Monday nights at Lone Star Saloon belong to knitters and crocheters of all levels — whether you're already skilled or just want to learn. Bring your needles or hooks, grab a drink, and settle in with a room full of creative folks who actually get it. A low-key, welcoming weekly hangout to work on projects, swap techniques, and enjoy good company, often with DJ Bartender keeping the vibe going. Runs from 7pm until whenever the night takes you.

Leather Bar

Slut Puppy is Lone Star Saloon's pup play and fetish night, bringing together the leather and kink community for an evening of uninhibited fun. This is where the bear bar's edgier side comes alive — expect a crowd that knows what they want and isn't shy about it. A regular fixture that keeps things spicy and unapologetic.
