Hrc Chicago Annual Dinner: Woven in Color

Themed Nights

Cell Block Chicago

Thursday nights at Cell Block mean the backroom opens at 9 p.m. right after Windy City Jacks wraps up — a reliably packed evening in Boystown's most unapologetically kinky space. No dress code, 21+ with valid ID, and a crowd that knows how to have a good time.

Latin Nights

Sidetrack

Sidetrack's weekly Thursday night party takes over the Main, Cherry, and North Bars with high-energy Latin beats, DJ-driven dance floors, and a crowd that knows how to move. Expect a packed dance floor, strong drinks, and great vibes — the go-to Thursday escape for anyone who wants to dance to Latin rhythms without the pretense. Occasional themed editions swap in pop music videos and special guest hosts.

Karaoke

Meeting House Tavern

Grab the mic and own the room every Thursday night at Meeting House Tavern's Karaoke Cabaret. Hosted by Bradley K8 Olsen with music powered by Creaoke Karaoke, this high-energy late-night singalong welcomes everyone — seasoned divas and first-timers alike. Expect big vocals, crowd favorites, cocktails, and a genuinely supportive room full of unapologetic queer nightlife energy. It's the kind of low-pressure, high-fun night that keeps people coming back week after week.

Open Mic

2Bears Tavern Uptown

A weekly Thursday night open mic at 2Bears Tavern Uptown, hosted by Paul Miller and Jason Melton. First-timers and seasoned comics alike take the stage for an anything-goes night of comedy, songs, and stories in a supportive, no-pressure room. Free and 21+—come perform or just soak in the beautiful chaos.

Dance Party

Hydrate Nightclub

Saint Devera returns to the Hydrate booth for a high-energy late-night house party—house beats, big vocals, pop remixes, and dance-floor favorites hosted by Boy J and Sativa Diamond with lights by VJ George G. Midnight to 4 AM on October 9th; the perfect soundtrack for spooky season.

rooftop

Sidetrack

Friday nights on Sidetrack's rooftop mean early evening sing-alongs, a crowd that actually knows the words, and the kind of communal joy that only happens when a room full of people decides to belt out Broadway together. Open early so you can catch the sunset and the first notes of the night.
