Community Center

The Schule of Drag is a two-weekend, intergenerational workshop for people who've never tried drag, maybe once for Halloween, or never set foot on a stage. You'll learn storytelling, stage presence, makeup, and costume, then get up for the Final Showcase in front of friends, family, and community. It's 21+ only, held at The Center on Colfax in Denver, and it's your chance to see who you might become.

Community Center

Pride Playwrights is a playwriting group at The Center on Colfax in Denver for LGBTQ+ writers 18 and up, meeting the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. You'll work on monologues, scenes, one-act plays and more, with historical references, educational perspectives and constructive feedback from the group. The long game is staging pieces for an audience, with actors from the wider community bringing your work to life.

Book Club

Find your next favorite book at Denver's LGBTQ+ Themed Book Club at The Center on Colfax. Instead of everyone reading one title, the group picks a new theme each month, so you choose a book that fits it and share why you loved it. It's a relaxed way to discover new authors, swap recommendations and connect with the community, running 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Community Focused

Overcoming Dental Fears is a Lunch and Learn at The Center on Colfax in Denver, led by pediatric dental assistant Kenyatta Richardson. It's a relaxed midday session for anyone who gets nervous in the dentist's chair, and you'll walk out with practical ways to make your next visit feel a lot less scary. It runs 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, all ages welcome.

Recovery

Narcotics Anonymous is a weekly recovery meeting at The Phoenix Annex Building on Champa Street in Denver, offered Tuesdays at 7pm and Saturdays at 1pm. It's a welcoming, judgment-free space for anyone working toward recovery from drug addiction, and you're welcome to come as you are. Check the Denver schedule above for the time you're after.

Karaoke

Camillaoke Nights is a drag karaoke night at Tapville Social in Denver, hosted by Camilla Teaux Krystals every 2nd and 4th Saturday at 9:00 PM. Grab the mic for hundreds of songs, or grab a craft cocktail and cheer everyone on from the neon-lit crowd. It's free to get in, and you'll want to bring your friends and warm up those vocal cords.
